I managed to repair the trolling motor and went to the butte saturday afternoon. It was a complicated day, it was reallly cloudy so we decided to set camp before it started raining. It ended up not raining but we were unable to fish that day. Sunday morning we woke up early and started fishing around rock canyon, fishing was very slow for bass and we did not see many fish. Later that day we decided to move out of rock canyon but we could not find the fish. The surprising thing is that i caught a catfish with a rapala dt 4 while the lure was floating in the surface, i tought it was a bass because of the huge top water splash but it ended up being a cat. Stripers will have to wait until next time!

Too bad about the slow fishing. With the HUGE rains we've had here, I thinks its gonna be at least a few more days before the bass are back in the shallows. Caught a couple day before yesterday, but last evening was the first day in a long time that all I got was the  skunked. Can't wait for them to start biting again, as I've got a brand new rod and reel I've been dyin to try out.

Hey Mr. Walley, was wondering if the lake level has gone up with all the rains we've had.  A friend went out last week and said it had gone down fifteen ft. since he was there a couple weeks prior.

Here are some lake levels I have copied at random times over the last couple of years.  It looks like it is still falling at the moment.  You can find this data in real time at:
