Fishing Friends,

Please find this week's Tingley Beach Fishing Report and Special Event Report below. If you have any questions about Tingley Beach, feel free to call me at 248.8514.

Fishing Report:
Trout fishing in the Tingley Beach Central and Children's Ponds is GOOD.  Anglers are reporting great success with Tazmanian Devils, Pistol Pete's, yellow PowerBait, salmon eggs and Power Honey Worms.  The NMDGF Red River Hatchery will stock 5000 rainbow trout in the Central Pond by Thursday to support Tingley Beach's 4th annual Free Fishing Derby!  The New Mexico Biopark Society will stock 250 tagged trout in the Central Pond in time for the Free Derby too!  Trout fishing in the South/Catch and Release Pond has been GOOD.  Anglers are reporting success when using #16 Copper Johns, Dead Chickens, Royal Wulffs, and striping dark colored leeches quickly.

Special Event Report:
Join us in the Central Pond on Saturday, March 13th from 7am - 4pm for our fourth annual Free Fishing Derby Catch tagged trout and claim one of the many prizes donated by our local fishing stores!  A NM fishing license for anglers 12 years and older is all that is required to fish at this Derby.  It's that easy! More information can be found at www.cabq.gov/biopark or by calling Rebecca Houtman at 248-8514 or 311.
